The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Monday, August 24, 2020, Clinton County had 16 new positive tests, 521 residents have now tested positive for COVID-19. There are 6 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 6,597 residents of Clinton County have been tested as reported by the ISDH.
The rolling 7-day positivity rate for Clinton County is 3.7% as of August 17, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 7%.
Additionally, the ISDH announced that 688 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 87,592 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.
Also today, 16,215 antigen tests and 975 positive cases from July 28 through August 22 are being added to the cumulative reports. Moving forward, antigen cases and testing from the most recent 24-hour period will be included in the daily reports. Tests and cases from prior to July 28 will be added to the cumulative reports once they are verified.
A total of 3,008 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 1,002,038 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 977,802 on Sunday.
