The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Clinton County had 2 additional residents die related to COVID-19 (August 14 & August 15) and 1 new positive test, 480 residents have now tested positive for COVID-19. There are 6 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 6,205 residents of Clinton County have been tested as reported by the ISDH.
The rolling 7-day positivity rate for Clinton County is 7.5% as of August 12, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 7.7%.
Additionally, the ISDH announced that 506 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 82,336 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.
A total of 2,968 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 934,033 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 928,614 on Tuesday.
