Update (12/15/21): 23 Additional Clinton County Residents Tested Positive For COVID-19 As Reported By The ISDH

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Clinton County had 23 additional residents test positive for COVID-19, 6,542 residents in total have tested positives for COVID-19. There are 82 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 104,929 total tests have been administered to residents of Clinton County, of which 24,563 have been unique tests as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 27.2% as of December 8, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 25.7%.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of all tests for Clinton County is 12.1% as of December 8, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 14.1%.

The weekly ISDH County Metrics score released today showed Clinton County with a score of 2.5 an advisory color of Orange. Clinton County’s official advisory level is Orange.

Clinton County had 503 new cases per 100,000 residents – a score of 3 – and a 7-day positivity rate of 13.44% – a score of 2. The ISDH utilized the results of 12/13/2021, 11:59 p.m. for the purpose of calculating the weekly County Metrics.

The ISDH shows a total of 14,421 Clinton County residents have received the first of a two-dose vaccination (an increase of 34 over the previous report) and 14,392 are fully vaccinated (an increase of 18 over the previous report) with 1,100 Clinton County residents receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, a single-dose vaccine. Additionally, 4,120 Booster doses have been administered. Statewide, 3,557,996 Hoosiers have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series, 3,510,140 are fully vaccinated with 270,137 from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and 1,115,503 Booster doses have been administered as of 12/15/2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 4,732 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and private laboratories. That brings to 1,170,950 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

To date, 4,639,958 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 4,632,833 on Tuesday.

The Regenstrief Institute updated hospitalization data as of December 15, 2021, at 7:07 a.m. for Clinton County. Data are unique individuals and cumulative. As of October 27, 2021, Regenstrief Institute will update dashboard data on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (instead of Monday through Friday).
