IN Not Moving to Stage 5 on July 4th, IN Gov. Eric Holcomb

In a Wednesday, July 1, 2020, afternoon press conference, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced the Back On Track plan set to move to Stage 5 on July 4th would be paused for two weeks until July 17th.

“This virus is on the prowl,” Gov. Holcomb said.

The Governor called the next weeks as Stage 4.5 where a hybrid of actions will take place. Current indoor limitations on capacity from Stage 4 will remain in place.

However, outdoor gatherings can move forward as long as proper social distancing is in place.

The Governor also launched a new campaign, “Mask Up Hoosiers.” The campaign is to encourage the use of masks “in the strongest terms possible” to slow the spread of the virus, “it’s about getting through this in the safest way.”
