INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Friday, October 8, 2021, Clinton County had 22 additional residents test positive for COVID-19, 5,558 residents in total have tested positives for COVID-19. There are 69 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 90,254 total tests have been administered to residents of Clinton County, of which 22,871 have been unique tests as reported by the ISDH.
The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 20.3% as of October 1, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 17.9%.

The ISDH shows a total of 13,346 Clinton County residents have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series (an increase of 16 over the previous report) and 13,384 are fully vaccinated (an increase of 15 over the previous report) with 969 Clinton County residents receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, a single-dose vaccine. Statewide, 3,277,381 Hoosiers have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series, 3,304,235 are fully vaccinated with 252,639 from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as of 10/8/2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Additionally, the ISDH announced that 3,595 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and private laboratories. That brings to 982,444 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.
To date, 4,245,998 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 4,235,254 on Thursday.
The Regenstrief Institute updated hospitalization data as of October 7, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. for Clinton County. Data are unique individuals and cumulative.
