INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Clinton County had 42 residents test positive for COVID-19 over the Labor Day weekend, 5,102 residents in total have tested positives for COVID-19. There are 62 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 81,425 total tests have been administered to residents of Clinton County, of which 21,851 have been unique tests as reported by the ISDH.
The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 15.5% as of August 31, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 19.6%.
The rolling 7-day positivity rate of all tests for Clinton County is 6.6% as of August 31, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 11.6%.
The ISDH shows a total of 12,782 Clinton County residents have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series (an increase of 78 over the previous report) and 12,625 are fully vaccinated (an increase of 68 over the previous report) with 928 Clinton County residents receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, a single-dose vaccine. Statewide, 3,140,793 Hoosiers have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series, 3,135,727 are fully vaccinated with 241,153 from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as of 9/7/2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Additionally, the ISDH announced that 2,863 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and private laboratories. That brings to 886,461 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.
To date, 3,995,480 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 3,960,242 on Friday.
The Regenstrief Institute updated hospitalization data as of September 6, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. for Clinton County. Data are unique individuals and cumulative.
